After 3 years studied in Lasalle, I finally officially graduated this morning, 24 August 2007 at Suntec Convention hall. My 2 honour guests were my mom and my guardian-Stefan. I was so proud with the nice boutique that Lu Yee ordered for me. I was so touched by that, thank you for thousands times Lu Yee. I was so excited and fluttered just when putting on my gown ( pretty heavy and big though). My friends and me took quite a lot of funny photos haha, but this is not to share to public, so sorry!
Everything was fun until my "unforgettable moment" on stage shaking hand with the President. I actually wanted to tell the person who would call my full name how to pronounce my name as "Vi" , or else she must have called me "vai" sth. However, I didnt know whether I said too soft or what matter but she only announced my full name as VI , my goodness, and the President told me softly: "Wow, you have a pretty short name" How embarrassed!
Except for that misunderstanding, I was so happy with the ceremony. Thanks my guests, friends for supporting me.
My goodness, It's been long since the last time I updated my blog! I was too busy with my new job to come online at night and typing my blog haha. I actually wanted to talk about my job, my recent life. However, when things happened to me during that day, I was too tired to write, and now things are over, no point repeating right?
It is embarrassed for any designers/or art students to say that they do not have any favorite or admired designers/artists in mind. I would like to share with you my two favorite artists: Simone-the creator, designer of Tokidoki, and Jimmy Liao- a Chinese illustrator
About Jimmy Liao: "Born in Taipei, B.A. in Fine Arts, with a major in Design. He had worked in advertising companies for 12 years.Utilizing images as a refreshing form of literary language,, Jimmy in his works poetic frames that emit charms and appeals."
About Simone: (His photo above, hehe)
"Simone Legno is from Rome, Italy and is a classically trained Italian Illustrator. He is a world renowned artist that could illustrate just about anything beautifully because he is has exceptional talent. But what makes Simone especially unique is Simone loves Japan and lives for Japan"
By the way, Artzmania is a very nice site for designers, collection of best artworks ever, have a look guys! Thanks sis Julie for sharing!
